This role involves strategic planning, coordination with suppliers and partners, inventory management, and ensuring the efficient flow of products from procurement to distribution.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:Develop and implement strategic plans for the supply chain to align with overall business goals.
    Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize supply chain processes and enhance efficiency.
  2. Supplier Management:Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
    Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
    Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and monitor their performance.
  3. Procurement:Oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing.
    Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and specifications.
    Implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and minimize risks.
  4. Inventory Management:Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures.
    Monitor and analyze inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
    Implement systems to track and manage inventory throughout the supply chain.
  5. Logistics Coordination:Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to optimize distribution networks.
    Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to meet customer demand.
    Implement efficient transportation and distribution strategies.
  6. Demand Planning:Analyze market trends and customer demand to forecast future product needs.
    Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand demand fluctuations.
    Develop and implement demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels.
  7. Quality Assurance:Implement and oversee quality control processes throughout the supply chain.
    Collaborate with suppliers to ensure products meet quality standards.
    Implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
  8. Cost Management:Manage and optimize costs throughout the supply chain, including procurement, transportation, and inventory costs.
    Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency measures.
    Develop and manage budgets for supply chain operations.
  9. Performance Metrics:Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations.
    Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
    Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from performance targets.
  10. Team Leadership:Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals.
    Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the supply chain team.
    Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and procurement.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management software and technology.
