Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Job Overview:As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through the supply chain. This involves coordinating logistics activities, communicating with various stakeholders, and addressing any issues that may arise during the transportation and distribution processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Order Coordination:Coordinate and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
    Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to manage order expectations.
    Track and monitor order progress from initiation to delivery.
  2. Shipment Planning:Plan and schedule shipments, considering factors such as transportation modes, routes, and delivery times.
    Collaborate with transportation providers and carriers to optimize logistics operations.
    Ensure all shipments comply with relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
  3. Communication and Documentation:Maintain regular communication with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates on shipment status.
    Prepare and manage shipping documents, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs documentation.
    Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
  4. Inventory Management:Assist in monitoring and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
    Coordinate with warehouse teams to track stock movements and reconcile discrepancies.
    Report any inventory issues or shortages to the relevant teams.
  5. Issue Resolution:Address and resolve logistics-related issues in a timely manner.
    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement corrective actions.
    Communicate effectively to all parties involved in the logistics process.
  6. Data Entry and Record-Keeping:Enter and maintain accurate data in logistics management systems and databases.
    Keep detailed records of shipments, inventory levels, and other relevant logistics information.
    Generate reports and analyze data to support decision-making.
  7. Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs laws, and safety standards.
    Perform quality checks on shipments to verify accuracy and condition of goods.
    Implement and enforce logistics and safety policies.
  8. Customer Service:Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to shipments and logistics.
    Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, concerns, and providing timely updates.
    Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
