Job Overview:As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end logistics operations of the company. This includes coordinating with suppliers, optimizing transportation, and ensuring efficient warehouse management. The goal is to enhance overall supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer satisfaction targets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain processes.

    Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  2. Supplier Coordination:Work closely with suppliers to manage inventory levels, lead times, and order quantities.
    Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective and reliable supply chains.
    Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives.
  3. Transportation Management:Optimize transportation networks to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
    Coordinate with carriers and third-party logistics providers to meet service level agreements.
    Monitor and analyze transportation costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
  4. Warehouse Oversight:Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
    Implement efficient inventory management practices to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
    Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols within the warehouse.
  5. Team Leadership:Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support.
    Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the logistics team.

  6. Performance Metrics:Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, with a focus on supply chain optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
